Tonight the TFNHL held it's draft lottery to see who would select 1st overall in the 2009 Entry Draft. With the fourteen non play-off teams trying to get lucky to win the lottery, and move up in the draft (some teams not being able to select first overall) the league dropped the balls and the winner was announced.
Going into the the draft lottery, here were the odds of who would win the lottery ball.
25.0% - Tampa Bay Lightning
18.8% - New York Rangers
14.2% - Los Angeles Kings
10.7% - Edmonton Oilers
8.1% - St. Louis Blues
6.2% - Vancouver Canucks (via Phoenix Coyotes)
4.7% - Edmonton Oilers (via Atlanta Thrashers)
3.6% - Boston Bruins
2.7% - Vancouver Canucks (via San Jose Sharks)

In attendance for the lottery were newly appointed commish/gm of the Boston Bruins Jason Coldwell and gm Alvaro Silvan of the Vancouver Canucks.
The winner of the 2009 draft lottery is the Los Angeles Kings with a winning number of 537.
