Ottawa - ON
The Sens fell short of putting the stranglehold on their series against the Pens last night. What prevented them to do so you ask? Well the lack of solid play by the PK units!
Three PP goals were aloud in the 1st period of play and on 2 of those penalties, captain Wade Redden was in the box!
"I feel like I let the guys down last night," said Redden after todays optional practice. "As team captain, I have a certain poise to uphold infront of my troops, and I'm sorry for it."
GM Mousseau who seemed quite happy, for a fellow who gave Redden a BIG longterm deal, had only good things to say about his team. "You win some, you lose some. Redden has stepped up a notch compared to the regular season I find. His experience with the Ducks and what it takes to win is tremendous. Sure he got lousy penalties, but I'm sure he won't dessapoint the fans tomorrow."
Next game is crucial to the Sens. Going back to Pittsburgh with a loss after tomorrow's game isn't in the cards for the Senators. It's due or die and with the eminent return of Kristian Huselius, the Sens might actually be able to win it in Igloo land.
GO SENS GO!!!
